I am also a freelance writer in the beginning of my career. Aside from writing as a basic freelance writer for the Times-Delphic, I recently wrote a piece for Business North, a major publication in northeastern Minnesota that focuses on economic issues. The job stands out in my mind; I've conducted interviews in many places, like my living room or my dorm lobby, but this is the only time I've ever interviewed someone from a half-mile underground. The job was paid.

Despite Recession, Range Readiness Initiative Continues

In 2007, the Range Readiness Initiative was created through Iron Range Resources to avoid potential problems with the development of several large mining projects. While the economic boom hasn’t been as loud as originally predicted, the initiative has remained surprisingly resilient.
