I'm going to start out this post with a graceful quote from my favorite blogger, Dingo:

"The hardest part about blogging is what to say after a lengthy absence. I’m going to forgo the Compulsory Retroactive Asskissing Pity Party and the tale of woe about antidepressants, side effects, life, death, and all that other bullshit that had my muses screaming like whiney little bitches:  'Ohhh, I’m too sad to write!  Oooohhhh!  I’m too tired to write! Ooohhh, zombies!'"

While my last few months were probably not as emotionally taxing as Dingo's, her message still applies. Sometimes things happen that we can't control, and they successfully briefly suck the talent from our lives (briefly being four to five months).

Let's yank this band-aid off quickly. The semester started out with 19 credits, part-time job and a brand-new girlfriend. It ended without the job, without the girlfriend, and me on the verge of stabbing a ram in sacrifice to the General Chemistry Gods in the hope they'd give me a C.

Oh, and the Drake Education program decided a make one of my required methods classes only available in the Spring, making it impossible to graduate in four years and causing me to feel like
an idiot for all the hours I spent trying to make it happen.

Not everything in my life currently sucks, though. I'm really digging the slew of classes I'm in this semester. One in particular, "Web Design" is right now teaching me skills in... well, web design. With any luck, my skillz will increase and I'll be able to do an extensive re-design of this site.

So thank goodness, the awkward introduction from months of absence is over. Let's get on to the good posts.

Damn, dude! Your life sucks! I mean, sorry to hear about all your troubles. I hope things get better soon. Also, the ram sacrifice doesn't work, for some reasons chickens do. Don't ask me how I know. Mwahahahaah! *rubs hands together and just looks plain evil*
